Why Zechsal magnesium?

Zechsal products

The Best Types of Magnesium

The foundation of Zechsal is magnesium chloride from the purest source in the world, the Zechstein source. This natural magnesium is suitable for absorption through the skin and is also available in liquid form for oral intake. In addition, Zechsal offers other types of magnesium in powder form, without fillers and of the highest quality.

1. Zechsal Supports and Helps With:

  • Mental resilience
  • Concentration and memory
  • Nervous system function
  • Maintaining strong bones and teeth
  • Cell and tissue production
  • Electrolyte balance in the body
  • Muscle function
  • Fatigue
  • Skin conditions, itching, and flakiness

2. Why Is Magnesium Important?

Magnesium is the active ingredient, and it is the third most essential need for humans after oxygen and water. It supports over 350 bodily processes, making it indispensable. Many people unknowingly have a magnesium deficiency due to decreasing magnesium levels in our food, insufficiently varied diets, and various medications that deplete magnesium. Extra magnesium can be beneficial, especially for athletes, pregnant women, and women in menopause.

3. For Skin Absorption and Oral Intake

a. Skin Absorption The quickest and most effective way to replenish your magnesium levels is through the skin. The magnesium chloride in Zechsal’s bath crystals, oils, gels, and skincare products is well absorbed and goes directly to the cells where it's needed. It also purifies the skin and has a calming effect.
Tip: High concentrations, such as in magnesium oil, may cause a tingling sensation on the skin, which is normal and usually subsides. Try applying it to a different area and gradually increase the dosage.

b. Oral Intake Zechsal offers various types of magnesium for oral use, all as pure as possible. Magnesium in liquid and powder forms is pure, easy to dose, and preferable to pills, as your body doesn’t have to break down unnecessary fillers. You can easily add it to smoothies or yogurt, for instance.
Note: Oral magnesium can cause gastrointestinal issues. Generally, magnesium bisglycinate is better tolerated than magnesium citrate. Magnesium Drops have the advantage of being taken in small amounts, which doesn't overload the stomach. The risk of gastrointestinal issues is minimal with skin absorption.

4. Dosage and Usage

We provide guidelines, though dosage is highly personal and depends on body weight, lifestyle, and symptoms. You cannot take too much magnesium, as the body excretes the excess naturally.

  • Magnesium Oil: 15 to 20 sprays per day.
Each spray provides 12.5 mg of pure magnesium, with a concentration of 31%.
15 to 20 sprays deliver half of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA).
Commonly used as a supplement for magnesium deficiency. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes after application, then rinse off with water if desired.

  • Magnesium Bath Crystals:
For a foot bath, use 125 grams of crystals in about 4 liters of warm water. Twice a week is a good maintenance base. For chronic conditions, use every other day. For a full bath, you need half to 1 kg. This promotes total relaxation, good health, and helps alleviate skin conditions.

  • Magnesium Drops:
Pure natural liquid magnesium, add to water, coffee, dairy, or food of choice.
Recommended: 30 to 50 drops per day.
40 drops deliver half of the RDA.
By spreading your intake throughout the day, your body optimally utilizes this magnesium.

  • Magnesium Citrate: 1 to 2 times daily, 1 teaspoon.
Dissolve in lukewarm or warm water, or mix with dairy. Specifically recommended for muscles, joints, and post-exercise recovery. Suitable for athletes.

  • Magnesium Bisglycinate: 1 to 2 times daily, 1 teaspoon.
Dissolve in lukewarm water (tip: with lemon), fruit juice, or mix with dairy.
This form has been shown to positively affect mental processes. Recommended for stress, anxiety, and low mood. Improves concentration and supports memory.

  • MCM Gel: Twice daily.
Highly suitable for treating painful joints. Provides immediate relief.
Advice: apply to sensitive areas twice a day. The gel absorbs quickly, no need to rinse off.

  • Magnesium Gel: As needed.
Commonly used for skin conditions; it promotes skin recovery. Also suitable for wraps (19% better hydration, 33% smoother skin). The gel contains 30% magnesium chloride. Let sit for at least 15 minutes and rinse with water after use.

  • Zechsall Sport Gel & Flakes: As needed.
Take a foot bath with flakes twice a week for optimal relaxation after training or competition. Use the gel as needed during or after exercise. Repeat frequently in case of injuries. The gel is also your first aid for cramps.

Daily use of the care products is also recommended as often as desired.
Children can also benefit from extra magnesium. Note that dosages for children are lower. More information can be found in the knowledge base on the website.

5. When Not to Use Magnesium?

Avoid if you have an extremely low heart rate (<35) or severe kidney disease. For medications, it is advisable to allow an hour between using Zechsal and taking your medication. If in doubt about combining with medications, consult your doctor.
